The 3D Founders

Amore, The Betta.
|
Yep, there IT is...Amore... |
Amore is my first betta, but he's, in reality, my third. There were two others
before him that died. I got him on November 15 2001. This was after my other betta-who didn't have a name-passed on from dropsy(I
think). I saw him and thought; "He's big and red and look at those pectoral fins!" (The ones up by there face that are usually
clear) they were red! I thought he was just beautiful, hence the reason I got him. So-when I got him home-I dumped him in
a big 2¼-gallon octagonal tank and he was thrilled! I had him for a while before he earned his name "Amore" it really did
just kind-a come to me though. I almost named him "Starry Eyes" cause of the sparkly blue dots in his eyes, but I decided
on "Amore", it fit him so well.
When I had had him for a little while I decided to add a snail to his tank,
I named the snail "Napoli" (Napoli has since passed on) and put it in his tank. He was a little disturbed by the way it would
detach it's self from the wall and almost land on him, but they got used to each other. One Friday night, I looked at him
and he was on his side, I thought for sure this was the end of "Amore." But I was wrong the oxygen supply in his tank was
turned down and he propped himself rite back up and went on with his day-to-day. Amazing. I still think, to this day, that
he was drugged up, too much oxygen for a betta. He's weird that way. In about
January or December I added a black moor to my collection and Pasta Fazool, a golden mystery snail (he is still with us).
Amore and Plopty (Plopty, who is no longer with us) got along well at first, eventually I had to take Amore out of the big
tank and put him in a betta holder, cause he was bighting Plopty's fins. I added Volare to my collection on December 20th
2001. Amore had company next to him now, either was too thrilled about this.
Around the last few days of 2001 I got my ten-gallon aquarium. Plopty was happy-at least-about this. Amore and Plopty were
the first to enjoy the bigness of it. Then the next day I added Volare, taking Amore out. Amore kind-a sulked that I'd been
so mean as to put him in something smaller. Then around January I added Roma and Loday to my tank and Roma wouldn't allow
bettas to co-exist with him, he'd pick at their fins. So both Amore and Volare went out.
Once I was
preparing him for spawning and I overfed him. He was back to normal about the over feeding very quickly, thank
goodness.
I regret to write this, but all things must come to an end and Amore's life did on December 20th 2003.
He lived a good life, he was well taken care of and went relativly painlessly, as far as I could tell. Amore is the only betta
I've ever barried and the most special betta I'd ever had. But his death made room for another betta that will become as special
as him in a different way. So good by for good, Amore and That's a Wrapp.
Volare, Oh, Oh, Oh!

|
Please Read my Bio...Thank you |
I got Volare on December 20th 2001. I just thought he was the cutest
thing and he is now my only blue male. He is soooo cute! His name means "To Fly" in Italian. I just thought he was so unusual
of a betta. His little pectoral fins were colored, too. He wasn't a very large
betta and didnt have a whole lot of fancy fin work, but something about Volare just caught my eye. I almost named him "Amor"
a take off from my other betta's name Amore but I realized that Volare was more fitting. And all the sudden Volare arose!
He's almost the exact opposite of Amore in personality. He's not real aggressive and never wants to cause anybody any harm,
just wants to co-exist peacefully. Of cores he would love to get his fins on my other bettas but, as far as the goldfish go
I only took him out cause the goldfish were beating up on him. He's really nothing spectacular when he flares, but he's my
Volare!
One time during a water change I was ladle-ling him out to put him in his new
water I drained the ladle down to low and little Volare flopped out onto the counter. It was kind-a scary I didnt really know
what to do, I just knew I had to pick him up and get this fish out of water back in some water. Then some how he kind-a flopped
into my hand and I put him back in his bowl. Woo wee! That was close! He didnt seem to be fazed by it, though. Hahaha He definitely
is tough! The day I got my ten-gallon aquarium my little 2-¼ tank cracked and I had to get Plopty the black moor, Volare the
Betta, Napoli the black mystery snail, and Pasta Fazool the golden mystery snail, out of this little aquarium. Well Plopty
and the snails came fine, but Volare was terrified of the ladle. I thought that he might try and swim away but never do what
he did. This was urgent I had to get him out some way and I had to use my ladle. The filter I had in there was a kind-a triangular
in shape and it was mashed all the way down to the gravel. As I tenderly pursued
him in the tank he decided to go under the filter, or more like under the gravel! It
scared me half to death and I pulled the filter up and he popped out just fine and then proceeded into the ladle. This was rather disturbing for me and I bet it was for him, too.
But as you can see my little Volare and me have gone through a few little fishy
trials together and made them through alive. But sadly our last trial we didn't make through alive. Volare died on July 3rd
2002. But for the good times: Volare, Oh! Oh! Oh!

|
D'Amour. Cute. |
I got D'Amour on April 4th 2002. I think I was attracted to him
because of his fin work. It was kind-a "Ripped" as I call it. He has such a metallic purple body and just gorgeous red fins. His pectoral fins are colored red, also.
During a water change I was pooring out the water into another canning jar,
from D'Amour's half gallon jar that he no longer resides in. He was still in it and I gave it a jolt to get him to swim out.
We were rite beside the sink and "Plop" he sure enough swam out but not into the jar, into the sink! I truely freaked out.
I didn't know what to do so I just covered the hole in the sink with my hand and said "Help!" in a high tone until my dad
came over and saved the day, plopping D'Amour back into his water, and he is still alive today!
He has gotten fin rot wich didn't make his tail look all that good, it used
to be so much prettier but now it is kind-a fraziled. He is still a cute little fella though.
Well D'Amour has passed into the wild blue yonder, sadly enough. He passed
on February 22nd (I think) 2003. He will be sorely missed, like all. I never do like to "End" any of my fishs' biographies
but tis' a fact of life yeah know. But I'll still miss the lil' man!
Surriso, Every Day!

|
Surriso...Dosen't she make you "Surriso"? |
I got Surriso on the 22nd or 23rd of April. Her name
means "Smile" in Italian. She is the cutest thing! I bought her on a Monday with
another little female I named "Solo Tu" this means "Only You" in Italian. But
sadly Solo died. Anyway. She has very striking color. Blue/purple. With purple being my favorite color and blue
being my second favorite color, this little gal really caught my eye. It was dark in the room I saw her in but once I got
her home I saw her true "blue" color! BEAUTIFUL!
During a water change I was washing her jar out and testing her water to match
it with the temp in her bowl, well, well, she thought she'd take a little fly! Woof, there she went probably about 1 foot
through the air and about 3-4 feet to the floor. How nice! One moment I looked in her bowl and she was there and another she
wasn't! I turned around and there was my little Surriso flopping around on the floor. So I bent down and again, really didn't
know what to do, but some how she kind-a flopped into my hand and I put her in her new water. Then looked at her and she's
still fine just being Surriso. She has such a personality. And the cutest little face! She truly is a little gem! My little
Surriso makes me surriso! Hehehehehehe
Well last year, 2003 Surriso died, in April. I can't believe I didn't end this
but hey, at least I did now.
Ooo la la! Crown Tail!

|
The ever so rare (I think:P) Crowntail |
I got Crocetti on May 10, 2002. He is such a little joy to have around. Always
flonting his fins. He has a very hot temper and thinks he's just all that and a bag of chips. He just can't stand Devi, who
really can't stand him either. He always flares and makes a big deal about anything. But one thing he minimizes is
water changes. I think he just figures he can get it done faster if he lets me catch him.
He has the most gorgiouse fins, so flowing and colorful. Very
cute little face and adorable little pectorals even though they are clear. He hasn't really tried anything funny with me,
he's very balanced I supose. He's a CT and boy did I get a steal! $2.87, at Wal*mart for a CTM. This guy truly is "The
Man" only taking second to Amore. He isn't the best looking CT you've ever seen, doesn't have the really developed fin
rays on his tail as most CTs do, but he's my CT and I love him! So go Crocetti!
Ok, so I've since discovered that he isn't a true CT he may have some CT blood
in him, but he isn't pure. Currently he has a lump on his side, I don't know how much longer he will make it...but he's still
looking rather healthy.
Well my preciouse Crocetti is gone now. He was the last original. He
died a peaceful and what looked like a painless death on March 6th 2004. I am so sad he is gone but all good things must come
to an end.
The 3D All Stars

It's Like-a Vino......

|
Oh that? yes I know I'm special! |
I got Vino on August 6th 2002, at Petco. He was a very pretty
yellow and so I thought he was just the cat's. So than I bought him. He is a VT, I wish he were a CT, but then I wish all
my bettas were CT! LOL He has a very pretty sheen-pinkish-on his body and his Veil Tail is very long and luscious. He has
a rather vicious personality, and is totally out raged at his next-door neibor, Amore. He just sits and dives at him, flares
and just wants so badly to get his fins on him.
Just recently I caught a small moth, I wayed if I would feed it to my goldies
or one of my bettas. I decided to feed it to one of my bettas, which one? Vino of course. I dropped in there and it squirmed.
He took interest, locating himself rite under it: he struck! But didn't get it, he kept sticking-like a little shark-and so
I left him and went to bed. So I layed in my bed and I could hear a little betta hitting the surface of the wait. Next morning
I got up. No moth. That day I changed his water(the day after) and there was no moth.none. It was kind-a funny to see actually!
Poor Vino has departed, he is no longer with us. He died (apx.) Feburary 27th
of 2004. At least he made it to see the new year. He will be sorely missed and thought of often, but all good things must
come to an end. Sadly, so did my little Vino.
Marina, Marina, Marina! Your so lovely, your so Sweet....

|
Marina.... |
Marina is my second female. Bought her on June 14th 2002. She is
just beautiful, also. When I saw her in the tank at the pet shop I thought she was a real gem for a female. The pet shop had
quite a few nice females. I thought I was getting a kind-a banana/red female when I picked her out. She wasn't this color
when I got her settled she was so stressed she was turning different colors.L the poor little thing. She was actually this
greenish red metallic color. Real pretty when she settled down.
On Sunday June 16th 2002 I put her in with my other female, Surriso
that was in with the goldfish, this was my intent when I bought her. Now this is a ten-gallon aquarium I'm putting her
in, I thought this would work just fine; Female bettas are usually community fish, but not Surriso! She was a real brat. Even
bit a little of Marina's fin off, well I made sure and took poor little Marina out of that mess, she was again turning a different
color and had fear stripes, I thought that she would most likely settle in and become more comfortable with the goldfish and
Surriso once she found out they weren't gonna hurt her, but Surriso sure proved me wrong there, she had every intent on making
sure that other female stayed out of HER territory, even flared at her, though Marina was the first to flare. Now Marina is
back in her jar and has turned back to her proper color, the poor thing!
Well Marina had a good life, but it was ended
Friday September 6th 2002 of unknown causes. I woke up and found her lieing there on the bottom of her tank. She seemed to
have her gills a little "Splayed." I don't know what killed her. But obviously it was her time to go. I enjoyed and took good
care of her while she was mine!
You Have To!

|
Drumb Roll Please....... |
I got Devi on July 3rd, 2002. He is a very pretty betta, as he's kind-a a steel color with red hints in his fins.
Really pretty little guy. His name-Devi-means You Have To in Italian. I saw the name, found out what it ment and couldn't
resist naming him that! He is a very hot tempered little guy. Him and Crocetti are always in a spat about something,
rather it is just flaring or actual: I want to eat you up actions! He doesn't care to much for water changes either.
But I never spend as much time on him as I do on D'Argo.
He a very pretty guy with all his flowing fins and gorgiouse coloring. real eye candy!
Currently he has some sort of ailment that is making him a little transparent, I think I'm gonna be able to pull him
out of it, hopefully. It doesn't look like anything real serious.
I did pull him out of it, but sadly he died on Feburary 4th 2004. He lived to see the new year and the he died. As with
all my bettas I will miss him, but I am glad he went peacefuly!

Vicki is a opaqeu white DRCTF & very cute, she has black eyes and a few extremely minute little purple dots
on her with an irredesent green sheen on her, she's very pretty. I got her on Wedensday June 16th of 2004.
Currently I'm prepping her for a spawn with my sister-inlaw's betta that is simalar in color but a VT. The babies should
be very cute. She isn't real spicey so she should go good with this male. She's in conditioning and is aproaching the 2 week
mark she's beggining to get fat with eggs & is priming well. I can't wait to see the babies!
So your thinking, was-up with the name? Right? Well I just couldn't name her anything but, she's just so cute & looks
to much like a Vicki to be named anything else.
So that's Vicki!
Sadly, Vicki died on (I believe) August 4th of 2005. I do not know the cause of her death, but I suspect old age. She
will be greatly missed & thought of often....
Bona Bionda
No Picture Available
Bionda is the first female I've had since Ver-Mea. I got her on December 10th, 2006
at my local Pet Smart. She is a Cambodian Veil tail. She isn't that beautiful or flashy but she looked healthy. I bought her
to spawn with my new male, Avanti, egged up & seemed receptive. After he'd built his bubble nest I let her out & she
wouldn't swim under the nest, at one point, after a water change, she tried to kill poor Avanti & ripped his tail. Oh
well. She is in her hurricane glass for now, so nothing can happen. I will re group them & try again, soon.
Bionda was recentely moved into a two gallon aquarium with a plant & gravel, all the decors & everything! She
was very happy. I never got the chance to spawn her, again. One Sunday I came home from visiting family & went to look
at her. She wasn't in her tank. I looked & looked & finally found her, on the floor. She was dead, dried & shriveled.
She died Sunday July 8th, 2007. She was the only female I ever really got attached to, she grew into a very pretty female
& I am sad to say she is no longer with me.

AJ or Amore Jr. is a very special betta. He looks remarkabley like Amore, this is why his named him AJ. I bought
him on Thursday, September 6th 2007 at my local Wal*Mart. He was so pretty, there were only two there. I saw him and imediatly
thought of Amore. I knew I had to buy him when I saw those red pectorals.
AJ is a very friendly, personable fish. He is firey & loves to do the "Shimmy" dance when you walk in the room or
look in his tank. His eyes are big & exspressive & he has excellent finnage. He is the brightest red, almost like
D'Amour & D'Amore.
AJ is the first betta I've owned in months & it feels good to finally say I am a betta owner, again.
AJ is a special fish & I hope I won't be writing about his death for at least 2 years.
A person can hope all she wants, but some times, things are beyond our control. I guess it was just AJ's times to go.
He died around January 10th, 2008. I believe he died of stress. I will miss him very much, he was a special fish...one that
sticks out of all my bettas I've owned....Good By, AJ.
Oh Lay! Oh Lay!
It's Volea!

|
The gorgeous Volea |
Yet another Bio to add to the ever growing page of Betta Bios! I got Volea at my local Wal*Mart on Febuary 13th, 2008.
I bought him because of his unique solid red coloring, his crystal eyes & those signature pectoral fins. He looks so much
like Amore & that is part of why I bought him.
Volea is not as phsyco as Amore, he is about middle of the road. He's not foaming at the mouth mad about everything,
but he loves to flare at his buddy, Lindsey. He shares a tank with Lindsey, of course divided by an aquarium divider. One
day Lindsey & Volea got in together & I thought sure they would have been dead! They never hurt one another...none
the less they are still seperated. On the 4th of July, I got home from a parade & Lindsey & Volea had got in with
one another. This time they weren't so kind to one another & Lindsey tore poor Volea to shreds. I almost lost Volea, but
he fought so hard, I was able to turn him around & get his fins almost completely healed & back to normal. It was
an amazing thing to witness, this betta was almost dead & with the right medication I was able to save him!
Volea is a very striking betta, in that, he is solid red. He looks like a red crayon. His name comes from one of my all
time favorite songs, Volare. I didn't think I could extract any more names out of that song until I listened closely as I
sang it! Volea may be just another Veil Tail, but he is special, I hope to have him for at least another 2 years!
I regret to write, that Volea has passed on. He died on November 28th or 27th. I left my house over the Thanksgiving
day & he was discovered dead on the 28th. I believe he got to cold. He looked just fine when I checked him before I left,
but he died over the holiday. I believe the terrible fight for his life he had last summer played a part in weekening him
& it probably aged him way beyond his years. I sure will miss that beautiful red betta swimming so gracefully in his tank......
Fully Loaded, Dellara

|
The always gorgeous, Dellara |
I got Dellara on Friday, Feburary 20th 2009 at my simi-local Petco. He is a red DRCTM, with beautiful ray & fin definition!
When I saw him I gasped, I haven't seen or owned such a fish in so long, it was hard to contain my excitement! He was bought
as a gift for my brithday along with another DRCTM & a 2 1/2 gallon "Betta Home" with an undergravel filter. I got him
home & put him & Fioravanti (the other betta) in the divided betta tank. I quickly noticed that he was a more passive
betta than his adversary; however, he still willingly faces off with Fioravanti because, who could resist that temptation?
He is one of the prettiest & most photo genic CTs I've owned since Dodge. He was definetly a find at a scant $3.99! He
is named for the Italian sports cars the Dellaras, he's so red, he's so beautiful, he's definitely a Dellara! So I hope
to be looking upon my goregeous Dellara for another 2 years at least!
Amor-Amor-Amor!
Amor |

|
Amor, isn't he just gorgeous? |
I got Amor on Monday, December 22cnd, 2003. When I saw him I just about flipped. He was the first "true" CTM I've
seen in my LPS. So I ended up bying him and naming him Amor after Amore who had passed on. As with all CTs he's very firey
and lively but he's also timid and it takes alot to get him to wake up if he's sleeping!:) At first he would flare at food
when I would go to feed him. It was the funniest thing! He is a very beautiful Cambodian CT, not to mention that he is actualy
a DRCTM! That means he's a double ray crowntail male. He's simply stunning! He reminds me just a bit of Amore but he is truely
his own fish. Amor-Oh Amor!
Amor has hit the long & dusty. It is hard to say why he died, but it seems to be of old age. He died either the 14th
of October or the 15th. It is too bad, he didn't even make it to 2 years like his name sake, Amore. My first true DRCTM. Good
bye to Amor....
Sure Is Brio!
Brio |

|
Pretty purple Cellophane, black mask. Can you see why I picked him? |
I bought Brio on October 1st, 2008 at my local Wal*Mart. He was a tiny little guy, who looked like he could use a
little TLC. He looked young & I thought he would probably have good potential to become a very brilliant betta, with frequent
water changes & good food. Indeed, I was right! After 2 weeks, Brio's fins had lost the irritated red look & his true
colors are starting to shine through. He is a firey little betta & he just loves to flare, because he's so tiny he is
constantly on the move & his name is italian for "Full of Energy" because he is very Brio. He loves to flare at Charlie
& make a fuss about anything. He eats his food with furver & strongly detests water changes. He is a very cute little
betta who, I am sure will grow some, into a larger, more brilliant betta. He has some very nice coloration that, as he matures
will become outstanding. It would be really interesting to breed him with a red female. I bet you'd get some pretty loud multi
colors, out of that. I think he would be a good breeder, because, after only 2 weeks, he was completely settled in & building
a bubble nest in his 3/4 gallon cookie jar tank!LOL I always love to see my boys building nests 'cause, that means they're
happy!
Other 3D Guys & Gals

OF Silver....

|
He was cute while he was alive.... |
I got D'Argento on June 14th 2002. There weren't a whole lot of bettas to choose from. His dazzling color
caught my eye. I was going to get another one, but decided on D'Argento. His name means, Of Silver, in Italian. He is the
easiest betta I have to photograph. This guy is kind-a well you might say a little boring. But one kind-a funny thing
about him is he absulutly can't stand water changes. I must spend at least 2-4 minutes on catching him alone. He
never seems to be able to make Crocetti or Amore flare at him. He is a very quite betta. Never really wants
to start anything but likes to flare.LOL:) I think he's still pretty young, as he's pretty small.
While D'argo was a good betta I think he may be dying, I'm trying to do what I can. I hope to pull him through.
Yes he did die. And I didn't end his Bio! He died LAST YEAR! What's up with me? Well anyway, he may have died but he
made a great controbution to all his comrades, saving many of there lives. Ok your going how can a little betta save other
fish's lives? Well see through his illness I discovered Betta Fix. It's great! And I saved Devi from the same disease, Amore
from Tail Rot and many other of my bettas from tail rot and other diseases! So thanks D'Argo!
Bouno Sera, Signore!
Buono Sera! |

|
I'm so cute! |
I got Sera August 16th 2002. She is a cambodian VT female
and has the personality to fit her to! She loves to dance around in her 1 gallon pickle jar and look at me with those cute
little black eyes.
Sera isn't a trouble maker. Surriso is. I put Sera in with Marina (night before Marina died) and
Surriso and Surriso just wanted both of them out of that tank! All she could do is be mean. But Sera just kind-a was like
"I won't bight your fins if you don't bight mine!" Its because she's a VT and Surriso is a CT. All the females are oh
so cute!! I just love them all. Sera I plan to spawn with Brochetta soon.
I should say PLANNED. Sera has since passed on. It is
very sad, yes. I believe she passed on around or on April 3rd. To bad, she'll be sorly missed but the good thing about
one dying is you get to by another one!!LOL:)

|
D'Amore or Amore? Bet yeah can't guess! |
Well I now have a new little man; D'Amore. He is so cute, he looks exactly like Amore. Infact I bet most of my regulars
thought he was Amore when first they saw his pictuer. He's agressive, as like with most red male bettas, but he's very
cute.
I got him at a local pet shop, on Thursday, February 20th, 2003. I was after a red male because poor D'Amour had passed;
I had told d'Amour that when he went I would by a red male and name him D'Amore, hence the name. He had tail rot, just
like Bro-bo, whom I got from the same pet shop, fresh water fixed that!! Now he's in a 10 gallon tank with "his Girls" showing
off and being the pretty man he is. He so funny to watch, he'll pick on of the girls out and flare real big at her to try
and impress her. SO CUTE! But he has 3 girls to do this to so he's all happy and so are they, he also serves
as a peice keeper sort of too, if one of the girls gets in a scurmish he may pick on to try and impress, he loves to flare,
hot handled lil' man!
Well we made it 1 & done. Poor D'amore died of the same thing Volar had around July 18th. It's sad to see him go
but at least I know what to do about Cantare.
De'Cieli |

|
On an Evening with Me, De'Cieli!HEHE |
I got De'Ceili on May 15th 2003. He is a gorgeous red Cambodian with
florescent green at the base of the fins; I believe he has some CT in him because his tail seems to be more "square" CT like
than VT, he most definitely has VT in him...but I think he may be part CT. He seems to be a hot-tempered lil' man. He is so
pretty to watch in the morning when I wake up. His fins are very long and flowing and just beautiful. His anal fin is rather
ripped and like that of a CT, but part is just ripped from something happening to him, but he is still beautiful!! I think
De'Cieli means An Evening in Italian. Some time ago I tried to spawn De'Cieli with probably the meanest female betta ever
born, well, we all know how that probably worked out. De'Ceili got his gorgeous fins ripped & he never reterned to his
former beauty, but I still loved him.
On November 30th of 2004 De'Ceili passed away, I couldn't tell if he
sucomed to old age or a disease, though I think it was just old age because he'd started acting older quite a while ago
& I knew it wouldn't be long, so De'Cieli de Roma!
Hesa Hard Chargin Charger
Charger |

|
This is Charger, Blue, Peach & red!! |
I got Charger on Friday, October 22cnd, 2004 at my local Wal*Mart. They had a very unusual betta order in that day
& I was looking through them & I saw this little guy & knew I joost-a had to have him!! He is one of the prettiest
bettas I've ever seen. He's not your usual blue red wash, he's almost what I would consider Mustard Gas!! He is a Veil tale
but sometimes you just can't let a gorgeouse betta die just because it's not a CT, HM or DT. I've never owned a betta quite
like him before he is one all his own. He is a very energetic little fellow too. He loves it when you stick your face up to
his tank & look at him, he starts dancing & bighting at the glass trying to get to you, he's very personable!! LOL
He also has the cutest little face, his face is a little reminecent of Amore- very pronounced lips & eyes. His ventrals
are even odd, they are very fat, & just a totally different color than any other betta I've ever bought. & the name
Charger sure does fit him. His name is after the new 2005 NASCAR Chargers all the Dodge teams will be driving. He's
a Charger!! Dodge has since passed on. He died sometime in 2005 or 2006. It's amazing I didn't post his death...but I didn't
so he is in the big blue pond in the sky, now. I miss him, but he was old!
VROOM VROOM! MOVE OVER MAGNUMS ON THE BLOCK!
I got Magnum October 29th of 2004. He is a BF, & yes he is also a VT. That's the thing, never get to many bettas
to where you can't apriciate the little guy, the veil tail. CTs are nice, but without VTs we wouldn't have CTs or HMs or anything.
They are common but they can be pretty too! My oh my, was Magnum ever pretty! He has a green tenge to his body & clear
fins. He is a passive little critter, he flares & doesn't like other bettas but he isn't that aggressive. He just kind-a
lives life, if you know what I mean. When he eats he just eats, he doesn't make a big scene out of it or anything, he just
eats!LOL He has a very big face & it is cute! Big black eyes & a brownish red mask coming over his head from his body.
He truely is beautiful & I hope to have him for at least 3 years!!:) Vroom Vroom Reb those hemis!
On July 17th, 2006 Magnum passed away. He sure was beautiful, I wish he was still with us but he is with all my other
bettas now. He will be missed, I loved & enjoyed him while he was hear. That's the problem with bettas, they die so soon
after you get them......
Super Charged DURANGO
Durango |

|
The flash on the camera makes him appear greener than he really is-Pretty man! |
I got Durango on Feburary 14th (I believe), he was given to me by my mother who bought him at wal*mart.
He is a green/red Cambodian Veil tale male, with a temper. He will flare at just about anybody & anything. He lives
in a vase with his plant that he loves dearly!LOL I often find him snuggled up in the roots, using them as a hamick, it is
the cuttest thing-& his water stays much cleaner than the other bettas'. I still feed him as bettas are carnivours &
need some sort of protein in their diet & plant roots just wont due, but he just loves that plant, I, as a matter
of fact have to be careful when I pull the plant out of the water that he is not still in it!LOL
He is a very active, healthy happy betta & he is bringing me & has brang me lots of joy watching him do
his little shimmy dance up & down his vase!
Oh yeah & all Durangos are hemi powered-right?
The last death of 2005 was, sad to say, Durango. I couldn't believe it when I found him dead but he was getting
older. So Durango now swims in a bigger pond........
Durango died December 27th, 2005.
Avanti |

|
Avanti Courting Bionda |
Avanti is my prised Twin Tail Red Male. He is so beautiful. He has the characteristic twin tail dorsal & a firey
personality. I got him November 28th, 2006. I found him at my LPS & I just couldn't pass him up. He was very small &
cute, I figured he wasn't fully mature so I bought him & he wasn't that colorful. He has matured so much in the short
month I've had him he doesn't even look like the same betta!
I prepaired him for spawning & bought him a wife, not to long ago. Well, I got him all ready & let the female
out. He decided to build his bubble nest in the roots of the plant that was in there. So, that didn't work. I changed their
water...they still didn't spawn, although he did build a pretty nice nest. He almost killed her & she tried to kill him.
Luckily they both escaped with their hides but for now, she's in her hurricane glass & he has the aquarium. I restarted
the filter & have to re group them now for another try.
Avanti has a great personality, infact he is very personable & friendly! He is gorgeous when he flairs & is one
of the prettiest bettas I've owned.
Sadly, Avanti has passed away after a long battle with an unknown disease. After try to breed Avanti, I put him in his
normal tank & put him back on flaked food. His fins started deteriorating & his atitude became more & more subdued.
I put him on beef steak again & in a larger tank. He seemed to come around a bit, but then went right back down hill.
I tried to snap him back & thought by putting him back in his big 2 1/2 gallon tank, just recently, it would help him.
I don't know if he was just old, or what, but I medicated him & put salt in his water & tried to cure him. It looked
like it might have been fin rot, but I thought I'd seen new fin growth, the water change before he died.
Avanti died, June 13th, 2007. I will miss him very much, he was the only DT or TT I've ever owned.
Lindsey |

|
Cellophane & beautiful! |
I got Lindsey on Thursday, March 13th 2008 at my local Wal*Mart. I had another betta picked out & was set on buying
him, until I saw Lindsey. Lindsey is a cellophane/mother of pearl VT. He is, by no means, plain! His color is shiny &
irridecent. One of the prettiest bettas I've ever owned. He is small, so that means he's probably pretty young. He seems hardy,
as well. For his color, he is agressive, loves to flare ALL day at the betta next door. He get's around great because he is
so small! His tail is short, but in the short week I've had him he has grown & so has his tail. I just couldn't pass up
his rare color. You don't see to many cellphane green bettas in Wal*Mart. Green is a very rare color so when you see it, you
most definetely must buy it!LOL I would love to breed him to a dark blue/red wash girl. I'd get some really loud multi colors
out of a cross like that! I hope to not be writing about his death for quite a while...he is so lively & young, I don't
think I will be!
Hope as I might, I am writing about Lindsey's death. He died August 25th, 2008. It was sudden & painless, it seemed.
He was always a firely little puff ader & he showed it best on July 4th when he tore the bigger Vo-lea, to shreds. Vo-lea
survived..but it seems in the end, Lindsey paid the ultimate price. I will miss him, however, he was never my favorite betta.
Good by, Lindsey!
Hey Charilie!
Charlie |

|
Wow, look at those fins! Who wouldn't want that swimming in their tank? |
Charlie is probably the only Betta that I've owned, who has a "normal" name! I cought myself calling him Charlie more &
more & so, now his name Charlie! I bought him at my local Local Wal*Mart on March 26th 2008. He is not an extremely firey
betta but he does love to flare. He lives in a ten gallon tank & just recently has had Brio placed next to him & they
face off constantly. He has lucious flowing pearly fins & the prettiest brown body, he is the oddest combination of brown
& purple I've seen on a betta, recently. He got to live in the ten gallon tank because, I was trying to keep a good eco
system for mollies or guppies, after the Koi left....well, I never got any mollies or guppies, just got more bettas, so Charlie
loves his ten gallon tank! I know he'd be a good breeder, as he loves to build ENORMOUSE bubble nests. He has built at least
3 that were about an inch thick & 2-3 inches wide....he is the one betta, I've ever had that loves to build large bubble
nests. I don't have the room, any more to have baby bettas, so he will never get a chance to be a daddy, but I can tell he
truely wishes he could be! So I hope for many more bubble nests for Charlie!
Cellophane Fioravanti
Fioravanti |

|
Young, but loaded with potential! |
I got Fioravanti on friday, Feburary 20th 2009 along with another betta (Dellara) & a 2 1/5 gallon "betta home"
equiped with divider & under gravel filtration. When I saw him I didn't think much of him until I looked closely &
noticed the unique blue cellophane tipping on his fins. He quite small but I contribute this to youth & expect him to
grow some during the time I have him. He is a DRCTM, with not very good ray definition, as he is, like I said, young. For
such a small little guy, he packs a punch. He loves to flare at nearly anything he sees & often provokes Dellara into
fights across the divider. He runs up & down the tank, lips out & fins flared looking to bite something. I have noticed
the last two cellophane bettas I've had have been very firey & small. I guess it's just a law of nature, when your tiny
& plain looking you have to have atittude to make up for it!LOL So I hope to have him in my tank & watch him grow
for very long time to come!
Ships in the Night

Volar |

|
My Camera takes crummy pictures, but you get the gest. |
This is Volar, he looks almost exactly like Volare, isn't it amazing? I got him on May 7th 2004, along with one plecostumus
& another betta. I got a great deal on him because see, I kind-a know the owners of my LPS (or former owner(s))
& I just went crazy when I saw this CT, the lady went on to inform me that they just got a new shippment of CTs in that
day. I wanted more then one-but for a cheaper price, so I inquired about a deal if I bought 2, she gave me 2 for the price
of one! That means I bought one and got the other one freeeeeeee! It was great.
He is an exquisit PCTSRM (pastel crown tail single ray male) just a gorgeous guy! He's very impressive when
he flares. He lives in one of the bathrooms with 2 of his other buds, D'Amore & Cantare.
He was an excelent pets store find & I'm just soooo very glad my LPS has decided to cary CTs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefuly Volar will live longer than Volare, I think he will because he's young.
I never like to "End" a betta bio, but all good things must come to an end, and poor little Volar has past. He past of
an namless disease around July 4th.
Picture Not Available
Well as you can see I didn't even try to take a picture of Cantare because my camera takes crummy pix, what's the sence
of one if you can't see it? It'd just be taking up MB.
I got Cantare May 7th of 2004 at my LPS. He is a cambodian with basically irredesent green & burgandy fins. Just
a gorgeous lil' man. He is a CT but he's a SR & isn't very high quality, but he is a pearly cute little man! What he doesn't
have in looks he makes up in personality. He is one of the fireyist little men I've every had-although I thought Volar was
the spiceier one Cantare really turned out to be the most hyper. When I do water changes I have to put a CD over the container
just so he won't jump out! When he's in his container he's pretty mellow but I'm telling you, he doesn't like to be messed
with! I wish I could get a good picture of him but it really is impossible with the camera I have. He truely is a little character.
So for the good times: Canatare
I never like to end a Bio but it seems I've been doing a lot of that lately-Cantare has since past on to the big blue
fishy pond in the sky, sad yes-but his death will have tought me something & helped save other bettas!
The All New Dodge Dakota.........
I got Dakota on March 14th, 2005 at Wal*Mart. I looked at him & he was just so perfect! Just perfect. His fins were
flowing & his body was so uniform. He is at turquois/white VT & has some red/marune on his tail. He is just gorgeous!!
I named him after the Dodge Dakota with it's shiney grill & cute headlights, it's just the right link in between
a Dodge Ram & a lighter pickup rather than truck. I also named him for South Dakota where white gold comes from &
the white on him looks like white gold. He is not a very hot tempered old man, but he will flare....he is rather mild in temperment
& is very friendly...loves to be visited.
So, he's a 24 Karat White gold Dodge Dakota...with every bit of glitz & glamor you could ever imagine. He's one coooooool
Dakota....
Poor Dakota has passed on, I don't know what of but he died April 2nd 2005. I really thought he was pretty too....seems
every elegant betta dies young........
Mother of Pearl, but Cizitalia
Cizitalia |

|
The excentric Cizitalia, examining bubbles on his aquarium |
I got Cizitalia on Feburary 11th 2009. I bought him because I thought he was a unique spin on the common Veil tail. He
isn't your average blue red wash or green red wash, he is a suttle, but sort of loud, multi color. He is irridesent, or mother
of pearl in the light & has pretty pink tones to his body with the nice blotches of burgandy on his fins. I named him
for an Italian sports car, is there a better name for a betta than one born by an Italian sports car maker?LOL Cizitalia is
what I would concider an "excentric" betta. He is not a normal flare at every thing barking mad fish. He is quiet, sometimes
even subdued. I'm not sure he even eats, he sits around in his tank & really doesn't do much. He isn't sick, or even stressed,
it's just his personality, I've decided. So I'm not sure how long my Cizitalia will last, I hope a long long time.
Yes, Cizitalia has joined the other fish in the big fish bowl in the sky.....he passed away on March 2cnd 2009. I got
busy & didn't change his water, however, I believe he would have died anyway, as he never really seemed "Normal". So Here's
to another ship passing in the night, good by Cizitalia.
