I got Ver-Mea on October 13th 2002. She is a gorgeous
blue/green female CT (AKA Crown Tail). I just about flipped when I saw her and a number of other females in the tank at the
LFS (AKA Local Fish/Pet store). It was quite a find-to-find Double rayed Crown Tail females at a pet store. Though I believe
they are becoming less rare in the PSs (Pet Shops). She had already been conditioned as she was VERY plump with eggs and just
kept growing until I put her in a bigger vase away from the boys. She's very quick to Fear Strips, getting them when just
Sera flares at her. She thinks it's a Male. She has a great personality and even
when its cold out lil' Ver-Mea is still up and playing around, waiting for her next meal. VERY energetic. Extremely cute lil'
gal!!
Ver-mea is now 3 years old & still as energetic as she was
when I bought her. She shows absolutely no sign of aging. Her little belly is all full with eggs, I have tried, in vain, to
breed her many times but she is fooled into thinking she's a guy!LOL
I still can't believe she is alive. She's definitaly the longes
lived betta I've ever had. She is also the longest lived female I've had. She is still quick to flare & gets mad at any
little thing, has a healthy appitite & isn't as scared of things as she used to be, now she just flares at anything that
is questionable!LOL
So for quite a while now, Ver-mea keeps on kickin'!
Ver-mea has now joined the likes of Brochetta & Amore, she
has passed. She died on the 15th of November 2005. Her style was always classy & she went out with class, bassically dying
in her sleep one day.
She will be sorely missed......
